Pyroclastic cones

Golets and Tornyi are two pyroclastic cones on Iturup Island, Kurile Islands, Russia.

Pumice fragments are located in Pliocene deposits on the middle part of the series Parusnaya series on Iturup Island. They are composed of alternated lava flows and stratified bodies of volcanic andesitic and andesite-basaltic breccias, which reaches a maximum thickness of 1000 m.
