Alngey volcano is located in central Kamchatka, to the east of Tekletunup shield volcano.
The volcano is located in the Sredinny Range, and forms one of the Northernmost Holocene volcanoes of Kamchatka. No eruptions have occurrd in the Sredinny Range in the historical records (last 200-300 years).
