Rocard is an undersea volcano located 57 km off the east coast of Tahiti. Seismic signals in 1966, 1971, 1972, 2011, 2013 may have indicated eruptions.
The summit of Rocard volcano is located 3200 m below sea level and is subject to external pressures of 320-400 bars.
