Location
Peak Range National Park is 50 km  ENE of Clermont (274 km SW of Mackay). The volcano is a linear feature which stretches for 100 km, and covers an area of 2500 sq km. The volcanic features include prominant hills, surrounded by flat lava plains.

The summit is Browns Peak (807 m) in the central part of the range. Prominant features of the volcano are Anvil Peak, Table Mountain, Scotts Peak, Malvern Hill, and Ropers Peak.
