Paulet volcano is located off the northern tip of the Antarctic peninsula, 5 km SE of Dundee Island. The volcano consists of a small island (3.5 km x 2.5 km).

The northern end of the island consists of small lava hills joined together by a broad spit of low ground. Paulet Island contains beaches all around. The island is mostly ice free due to heat from the volcano.
