Nebo volcano is located 90 km SW of Mackay in central Queensland. The volcanic area extends 200 km in a NW direction from the town of Nebo.
Mt Fort Cooper (530 m) is a prominant mesa 1.5 km across, 13 km NW of the town of Nebo. It may be the remnant of an ancient lava lake which formed 16 million years ago. Diamond Cliffs is located 45 km NNW of Nebo.
