Pyroclastic cones
Naolinco volcano is located 35 km from the Gulf of Mexico coast. The volcanic field consists of a series of pyroclastic cones surrounding the town of Naolinco de Victoria.
The largest cone is 2000 m high Cerro Acatlán, located NE of Naolinco de Victoria. Coacoatzintla was the most recent lava flow and erupted from Rincón de Chapultepec scoria cone in the western part of the field.
