Iya Volcano is located on a south facing peninsula in central Flores. There are two summit craters at Iya volcano: K1 (1600 m x 600 m), K2 (2300 m x 400 m). The craters are breached to the SW.

1969 Eruption
Iya volcano erupted on 27th January 1969, resulting in evacuation of nearby residents.
