Iwaki volcano is located in northern Honshu, Japan. The volcano is almost symmetrical and has been called the Fuji-san of Tsugaru district.
From the summit there are views of Tsugaru plains, the Sea of Japan, and the Shirakami Mountain Range.

The andesite from the rim of the central crater of Iwakisan is similar to bandaite, with less pyroxene.
