Irruputuncu Volcano is located in northern Chile on the border with Bolivia. The volcano contains two summit craters. Fumarolic activity occurs at the southern crater which is about 300 m in diameter. 

1995 Eruption
On 26th November 1995 mild phreatic eruptions occurred at the volcano. A dark plume was visible above the summit.
