Fissure vents
Esteli volcano is located 36 km from the border with Honduras. It consists of fissure vents and associated lava flows. The volcano is located 70 km NE of the main volcanic arc in Nicaragua.
Bonete de Carrao cone, located between Estelí and Jinotega erupted a young looking lava flow.
