Cuernos de Negros volcano is located in SE Negros Island, Philippines. There is a small crater with solfatara.
A large tectonic earthquake in 1902 caused an increase in solfatara activity.
Negros Island, which is situated in a back-arc location, is undergoing intra-arc extension.
Palinpinon geothermal Field
The filed is located on the south side of the volcano. Palinpinon geothermal field is located south of the Okoy River.
