Stratovolcano
Corvo Volcano is located on Corvo Island at NW end of the Azores archipelago. A 2 km wide caldera is located on the north side of the island.
Corvo and its neighbor to the south, Flores, are the only two Azorean volcanoes located west of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
