Note: there is a volcano called Cerro Negro in the Andes (the world's third highest volcano).
Cerro Negro was born in 1850 and is the   youngest volcano in central America. 
  The volcano is composed of black scoriae and aa lava flows which have   reached 4 km on NE. Eruption   of Cerro Negro in August 1999 included ash emission and lava   fountain.
