Bilate River Volcano is located in SW Ethiopia. It consists of lake-filled maars and tuff rings. Two lakes include Budamada Hayk' and T'ido Hayk'.

The volcano is situated in the southern section of the main Ethiopian rift, 50 km NNE of Lake Abaya.
