Baluran is the most easterly volcano in Java. The volcano is located in a National Park which covers twenty-five thousand hectares. Extensive wildlife is visible in the park including buffalo, deer, banteng, leaf monkeys, monitor lizards, squirrels, fruit bats, civet cats, and leopards.
