Santo Antãois the westernmost and largest of the Barlavento islands of Cape Verde. The highest peaks on the island are Topo de Coroa (1979 m), and Pico da Cruz (1585 m)
Since 1999 there has been an increase in water temperature in sea in the area of Ponta do Sol.
