Lava
Tower - John Seach
A lava tower
is a pillar of scoriaceous material witha lava coating.
The pillars
have a diameter of several metres and heights of more than 10 metres.
Lava towers
form as an eddy of scoria in a lava flow which remain as a tower
when the lava
drains away.
