Shelly Pahoehoe Lava - John Seach

Shelly pahoehoe lava is formed by a gas rich flow which produces cavernous flows
with fragile crusts. Crusted shelly pahoehoe lava is dangerous to walk across
because the crust collapses under bodyweight,  resulting in potential injuries to the hiker.
