Mt McLoughlin is located in southern Oregon. 
Glacial action in the late Pleistocene has carved away the entire NE side of the mountain and
lowering the summit by a hundred metres.
The volcano is relatively young indicated by the well preserved shape, and preservation of lava flow features.
