Manus Island is located two degrees
south of the equator.
The island measures 80 km E-W and
27 km at the widest point.
Manus is a continental island and
is hilly and deeply dissected.
The island is divided into five geographical
regions.
1) SW peninsula.
2) Western uplands.
3) Central valley.
4) Eastern uplands.
5) Eastern lowlands.
