Lavongai Island - John Seach
(New Hanover Island)
New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea

Lavongai Island is located about 40 km west of Kavieng.
It is 56 km E-W and 35 km N-S.
There is a barrier reef along the north coast and a mountain spine curving west to SE.
The island was previously noted for Cargo Cults.
