Pu'u
Kuki'i - John Seach
Lower East Rift Zone - Kilauea Volcano
Pu'u Kuki'i is a 400-750 year
old cinder cone near Kapoho cone. It is 65 m high and was uplifted 20 m
by burrowing lava in 1960. The lava
went under a human-made barrier constructed to stop lava flowing south.
