Pu'u Kali'u is a cinder and
spatter cone located on the axis of the east rift zone.
It is an area close to a pool of
stagnant magma. The cone is 60 m tall and formed 400 to 750 years ago.
The Pu'u Kali'u area has potential
for geothermal energy generation.
Pu'u Kali'u is next to Leilani Estates
residential subdivision.
