Emirau Island - John Seach
New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea

Emirau Island is located in the St Matthias Group, NW of New Ireland.
The island was reached by Dampier in 1699 and named Squally Island.
A fringing reef encircles the island and broadens off the west coast to enclose several small islands.
