The South Bismarck Sea volcanoes are
defined by two volcanic arcs.
South Bismarck Sea - Western Arc
The volcanoes of the western arc
are alinged in a narrow line extending from Kadovar volcano near wewak,
to Ritter Island near New Britain.
South Bismarck Sea - Eastern Arc
The eastern arc contains the volcanoes
aligned along the northern edge of New Britain.
